A 2.6 mm wall reads cleanly from roughly 2.6 metres and closer, so it suits control rooms and lobbies but wastes budget on a stadium concourse seen from 20 metres. Outdoor screens above 5,000 nits hold up in direct sun yet draw more power and need a planned thermal path; they are not a drop-in for a finished interior with shallow wall depth. Fine-pitch cabinets that lack front service should not be specified where the only access is from the face.
